dear ben, i apologise for being a bitch! start stressing now kids! i believe we are performing tomorrow to a small audience and i think everyone should not be stressing but at the same time they should be! but on the same note shouldnt be lol cause we will all be awesome! and you know it! the year 8, 9 and 10’s will  be so astounded by our performances and want to be drama freaks like us! bahahahahaha so much love! only problem is i dont think golden bunnies will be able to perform their whole performance on wednesday - thats tomorrow due to the fact that our whole performance is way longer than 20mins! but thats ok, we’ll get the feel of what it will be like on thursday and there shouldnt be any worries after tomorrow! hopefullly! i wish everyone a good nights sleep and a swell day today and good luck for tomorrow love you all =]

p.s everyone bring props etc we need balloons and crap WHAT THE FREAK ARE WE GOING TO DO ON WEDNESDAY ABOUT HELIUM????? ARE WE PERFORMING WITH HELIUM BALLOONS OR NOT?? =S i think we should but then again what if we dont have enough for thursday night ..oh the horror ….. oh gosh!

lately there has been alot of conflict between certain people in the drama family! in particular betweeen ashleigh and i !!! i would just like everyone to know that i love you all =]

anyway today was good in drama everyone beformed some scenes for each other and we wrote notes and gave feedback it was grand anyway i gtg eat lunch hehe.

ok so yesterday was alright we worked pretty well polishing and stuff but seriously drama is getting to me im getting so tired and my body cant take this i cant wait till its over. this morning we had a rehersal and we got some good work done on scene 4 b&c .

well its been a while since i’ve blogged so i fill you in last week was pretty good our group is working much better. last week we did a meditation like activity with candles which was awesome it really made us focus so i was happy bout that then on friday we finally got our helium tank which was so exciting but im afraid of wasting it and not having enough for performance. we also have our costumes hahaha which are sooooo massive on me its crazy, the t-shirt is massive so i kinda look like i won the biggest loser and then im wearing the tshirt i arrived in hehehe oh well.

We need more time. The gameplan is to always have to be get on time and rehease, rehease, rehease. No matter the pain, bumps and brozes. I think we spend more time on the ground and falling down. All we have to do is get a mattress perform on the ground. Call it the “thearte of moving arms and legs” or the “thearte of ground movement”. 

However back to topic STOP THE CLOCK or get a time machine either one.

i feel that our performance is too dialogue driven.
i know language is one of our theatrical conventions, but it just feels boring. we need to work on boosting our physicality in scenes, weaving it in where it would be rellevant and powerful as “a picture speaks more than a thousand words” lol.
also we need to encorporate even MORE with the balloons…use them in everything! this will come more easily tomorrow when we can actually use them lol.
ALSO i am oh so proud of Sarah! she had her epiphany today in her ‘angry smart scientist’ bit haha.
she just “had it”

oh and i want our performance to be better than my solo last yr lol i saw it today.
i want to challenge and push myself…not just be the typical comedic/evil bitch type haha but hopefully i will convey another ‘version of Ashleigh’ in sc 6.
i just want to push myself and everyone in my group for GOLD!

YESSS! today we got out performing blacks (they look oh so good!) and tomorra…THE CYLINDER! oh yes oh yes it will be sweet lol! this will really help us out as it is a huge difference working with helium-filled balloons rather than man blown ones lol.
we have been having morning rehearsals from 7.30-8ish everyday but monday (SO SORRY I FORGOT ABOUT TUESDAY GUYS!!! MEGA SORRY!) but i think we are making it 8 now because it’s so much easier for everyone and no one has to sit around waiting like i did today lol. as well as that we are rehearsing every lunchtime until further notice; it’s hard but we need the practise.
today emily goddard came to give us feedback etc but we literally couldn’t spare time polishing it. we want to get everything running as smoothly as possible and then see what we can (subtley) change/add.
we also haven’t gone through scene 5 with the rest of the group lol!
but i’m not worried as yet, if we keep working as efficiently as we have been (and PERFECT OUR ACCENTS and KNOW OUR LINES which wastes valuable rehearsal time) we should be a-ok.
just so pumped for tomorrow and the balloons!

haha no really i am mucha proud of my group today. we achieved a shiteload today with the aid of Ms A. scene 4 will be wicked, and i think we should build it up even more (hint: Katie) and we need to include the fact they were evacuated into the dialogue. and also figure out balloon transitions, and how/when to attach the work card to the balloon…

working with ‘balloons’ will have to be as choreographed as it can be in rehearsals because we wont be working with the physical things until a week before….

WE NEED TO MEMORISE, MEMORISE, MEMORISE and polosh the bejesus out!!!!

 p.p.s on another random note! i am so dissapointed that i wont be able to see GWSC’s ensemble kos i have something on that night. i don’t know if they have a vineblog, but YEAH go them lol!

ok so i apologise for the title of this blog, but that song from high school musical really sums up that we need to get FOCUSED lol LAME.

i think i should focus more on the negatives after such a long and stressful week. everything is blocked! das ist good!

we just need to work our asses off and time our performance and try as much as we can with our props (although we can’t fully use balloons in rehearsals until the week of performing….bless you MWSC for paying for our cyclinder…it is really appreciated).

we also need to rehearse everything, because it seems that whenever we rehearse it is always only one scene and there are scenes we haven’t touched in quite along time….such as scene 4a which we did for the first time in about 3 weeks yesterday.

next week will be hectic with rehearsals using time before school, lunchtimes, classtime and afterschool when we can wing it, and Ms Abley has agreed to come and watch us sometimes so we can get both her perspective as well as Craigy in class. This will be really useful getting more feedback because in the double on wednesday we didn’t really get any feedback at all, so that was time wasted that we can hopefully gain back…

our scene 5 is wicked, we just really need to form the dialogue for it and make sure we encorporate all the facts WITHOUT making it too mechanical i.e “i am reciting numbers now…booyah”

also, we are getting our costumes this week which is grando.

i AM proud of us, just a little worked to the bone and i apologise and/or thank everybody that counselled me through my whinyness this week haha…
